President’s Message, February 2026
New Year, Shared Purpose:
Strengthening Our CRPA Community

As we turn the page to a new year, I hope each of you had the opportunity to rest, reflect, and reconnect over the holiday season. January offers us a welcome pause—a moment to appreciate the accomplishments of our community and to set our sights on the work and possibilities that lie ahead.
In 2026, CRPA remains steadfast in its mission to advance radiation protection across Canada through collaboration, shared expertise, and a commitment to excellence. Our association is defined by its members, and it is their dedication, professionalism, and generosity of spirit that keep CRPA strong and relevant. I want to thank our members for continuing to bring their passion and knowledge into this new year.
One of the key events on the horizon is our joint conference with the Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (CARST), which will take place this spring in Saskatoon. This partnership creates a unique opportunity to bring radiation protection and radon safety professionals together, expand our collective understanding, and explore new approaches to emerging challenges in our field. Planning is well underway, and we are excited to host what promises to be an engaging, energizing, and collaborative event.
As we begin the year, I encourage members to get involved. Let’s all make a resolution to engage in at least one way. You could contribute to the Bulletin, join one of our committees, participate in a professional development opportunity, attend the conference, or participate in the many conversations that shape our shared practice. Together, we will continue to strengthen CRPA and support the evolving needs of our community.
I wish you a positive and purposeful start to 2026. I look forward to the achievements and progress we will make together in the year ahead!
