Christopher Clement Receives Japanese Ambassador’s Award / Christopher Clement reçoit le prix de l’ambassadeur japonais
Christopher Clement, who has been a CRPA member since 2006, is currently serving as the scientific secretary for the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP). What you may not know is that Chris has been actively working with the people of Fukushima to provide radiological protection since the March 11, 2011, accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
On March 12, 2019, Chris received the Japanese Ambassador’s Award, not only for his excellent work in as an expert in radiological protection, “but also for the promotion of mutual understanding and friendly relations between Japan and Canada,” said Kimihiro Ishikane, Japanese ambassador to Canada.
Well done, Chris! You have made the CRPA and your country proud.
