In the last issue of the Bulletin, we debuted the “CRPA(R) Prep” column. On an unusually cold and rainy spring day, the Health Physics Society’s State of Texas Chapter hosted its annual student meeting on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. / En effet, lors d’une journée printanière inhabituellement glaciale et pluvieuse, le chapitre de l’État du Texas de la Health Physics Society (société de la radioprotection) a tenu sa rencontre annuelle pour les étudiants sur le campus de l’Université Texas A&M, situé à College Station, au Texas.

Here in the United States, the Health Physics Society (HPS) is our radiation protection society. One of the things I like about HPS, and encourage CRPA to adopt, is the concept of a chapter, which is a geographical subset of HPS. / Ici, aux États-Unis, notre société de radioprotection s’intitule la Health Physics Society (HPS). Ce que j’apprécie particulièrement de cette société, et que j’encourage l’ACRP à imiter, est le concept de division, soit un sous-ensemble géographique de la HPS.

Another year of CRPA business has just flown by, yet again. During this short time we have seen a lot of new initiatives take form. / Une autre année s’est terminée, et bien que cette période ait semblé courte, nous avons tout de même été témoins de plusieurs nouvelles initiatives.

With the 2018 CRPA Conference right around the corner (April 30 to May 3), it seems fitting that my first official duty as the newly appointed assistant editor for the Bulletin be to provide the Editor’s Message for the conference issue. / À l’approche du congrès 2018 de l’ACRP (du 30 avril au 3 mai), il va de soi que ma première tâche officielle à titre de rédacteur adjoint du Bulletin est de composer le message du rédacteur en chef pour l’édition du congrès.
