Sunil Choubal

Sunil joined CRPA in 1979 and has served the association in various capacities for over 30 years—as treasurer (1988 to 1990), director (1991 to 1993), and president (2006 to 2007). He also served on the board of directors in the years preceding and following his tenure as president. Not content with those notable contributions, Sunil has served as CRPA’s archivist since 2011—a whopping 12 years!

Sunil received the Richard V. Osborne Founders’ Award in 1999 and is an Honorary Lifetime Member of CRPA. He was nominated for the Meritorious Service Award for his dedication to his role as archivist.

Jill Robertson

Since 2016, Jill has been actively promoting CRPA within the radiation protection community.

Jill was a member of the local organizing committee for CRPA’s 2023 conference in Halifax and she made significant efforts to promote CRPA and the Halifax conference at both the International Commission on Radiological Protection’s ICRP 2021+1 in Vancouver and 2023 Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (CARST) Radon Conference in Victoria. Furthermore, Jill often encourages prospective members to join the association.

She is also an active member of the CARST/CRPA working group. As part of the working group, Jill shared experiences and ideas that were valuable in creating a new worker’s exposure tracking form. Jill co-presented a professional development training at CARST’s 2023 conference that not only promoted CRPA as the voice of Canadian radiation safety professionals, but also provided scientific knowledge to the community.
